2. When this policy applies

This policy applies whenever you share personal data with us, including when you:

  • submit a LinkedIn Lead Gen Form in response to one of our adverts or content — for example, to request one of our reports or white papers;
  • contact us by email, phone, LinkedIn or another channel;
  • visit our website at www.pangaea13.com.

3. The personal data we collect

When you complete one of our LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms, LinkedIn pre-fills the form from your profile and passes the following information to us once you submit it:

  • your name;
  • your work email address;
  • your job title;
  • your company or organisation name;
  • and, where a specific form asks for it, other business details you choose to provide.

We only receive this information if you choose to submit the form. If you contact us directly, we will also hold the content of your message and any details you provide.

4. How we use your data, and our lawful basis

Under UK GDPR we must have a lawful basis for using your personal data. We rely on the following:

What we do with your data Lawful basis
Send you the report, white paper or information you requested. Consent, and our legitimate interest in responding to your request.
Store your details in our CRM system to keep an accurate record of contact and manage our relationship with you. Legitimate interests — running and administering our business.
Contact you directly (by email, phone, LinkedIn or messaging) to follow up on your enquiry and discuss how our services may be relevant to your organisation. Legitimate interests — B2B marketing and developing new business, balanced against your rights.
Send you marketing emails, such as reports, insights and updates about our services. Consent (given when you submit the form) and/or the PECR "soft opt-in". You can withdraw at any time.

You can ask us to stop contacting you for marketing purposes at any time — see section 8. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link.

5. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the following categories of recipient, and only as far as necessary:

  • LinkedIn — the platform through which you submit the form. LinkedIn’s own handling of your data is governed by its Privacy Policy.
  • Our CRM provider — which stores contact records securely on our behalf.
  • Our email marketing platform — which sends our emails on our behalf.
  • Professional advisers and service providers where reasonably necessary (for example IT support), under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection terms.
  • Regulators, law enforcement or others where we are legally required to do so.

These providers act as our processors and may only use your data on our instructions.

6. International transfers

Some of our providers may store data outside the United Kingdom. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we ensure an appropriate safeguard is in place — such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or a country the UK Government has deemed adequate.

7. How long we keep your data

We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out above. Where we are in active contact or an ongoing business relationship, we retain your details for the duration of that relationship. Otherwise, we review and delete inactive contact data after 24 months, unless we are required to keep it longer for legal reasons.

8. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • be informed about how we use your data (this policy);
  • request access to the personal data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • ask us to delete your data ("right to erasure");
  • object to, or ask us to restrict, our processing — including objecting to direct marketing at any time;
  • withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it;
  • request that we transfer your data to another provider (data portability).

To exercise any of these rights, email us at connect@pangaea13.com. We will respond within one month.

9. Cookies

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to help it function and to understand how visitors use it. Where required, we will ask for your consent to non-essential cookies.

10. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your data, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the UK’s data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised. Please check back periodically.
